Nuno Espirito Santo says West Ham United will have Aaron Wan-Bissaka back for Friday’s Premier League clash with Wolves after missing the FA Cup quarter-final against Leeds.
By beating Jamaica in the play-off, Wan-Bissaka’s DR Congo side secured their World Cup place just two months before the tournament kicks off on the other side of the Atlantic.
Wild celebrations back home meant that the experienced full-back did not return to England in time to face Leeds at the London Stadium over the weekend.

The Congolese Football Federation reportedly block all players from leaving until Monday, despite FIFA’s regulations stating that all must return to their clubs 48 hours after a match.
Hammers News can confirm that West Ham were ‘furious’ with the situation.

Perhaps understandably, Nuno Espirito Santo opted against delving too deeply into a controversial situation in his midweek press conference. The West Ham United boss did confirm, however, that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be available for the visit of rock-bottom Wolves.
“We deal with that. It was not possible for him to be here [against Leeds],” Nuno says. “But now he returns, he’s good, he’s working [on the training ground].
“Let’s see tomorrow if he can help the team.
“I don’t want to go too much into details, they reach a big thing in Congo [World Cup qualification], but he returned and he’s good.”

West Ham hope to have Crysencio Summerville available too following a month-long lay-off.
Konstantinos Mavropanos is fit to start after concussion ruled him out of that topsy-turvy Leeds encounter. Axel Disasi, Callum Wilson, Jean-Clair Todibo and Alphonse Areola – who was subbed off for debutant Finlay Herrick deep into stoppage time – should all be in the squad at the very least.
Therefore, after starting with a backline of Disasi, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Kyle Walker-Peters and Max Kilman last weekend, Nuno’s defence should have a more familiar face in a proverbial relegation six-pointer.
