Chelsea have not beaten City since 2021
Manchester City make the trip to London to take on Chelsea at on Sunday in a massive Premier League encounter which means so much to both sides.
Both sides booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals last weekend, but attention now turns sharply back to league action.
When City played Chelsea in the reverse fixture in January, it finished 1-1 at the Etihad Stadium after Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez scored a late equaliser to cancel out Tijjani Reijnders’ first-half opener.
With Pep Guardiola’s side set to take on the Blues once again on Sunday, here’s a look at City’s last five results against Chelsea.

As stated, City’s most recent game against Chelsea ended in a 1-1 home draw in the Premier League on 4 January, thanks to goals from Reijnders and Fernandez.

Sunday’s clash with Chelsea is the first of two pivotal games for City’s late bid to win the Premier League title against the odds.

If City beat Chelsea, they could reduce Arsenal’s lead to six points with a victory against Mikel Arteta’s side the following weekend, and the gap would be closed to just three if City win their game in hand.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will know they cannot afford a slip-up, and their players will no doubt be feeling the pressure in the closing weeks of the season.
Sunday’s game against Chelsea is therefore crucial, with Pep Guardiola’s players knowing they cannot afford to drop points as they try to chase down a seventh Premier League title under the Catalan boss.
