Heckford Developments Ltd has submitted plans to subdivide a residential garden and demolish the garage at 20 Old Priory Road and build a two-storey detached house and a two-storey extension at the back of the current house.
Plans show that there will be associated garden works, cycle storage and access.
Planning documents show that there are currently two parking spaces available at the property but if the development is approved both these spaces will be removed to accommodate the development.
The documents also show that previously permission has been granted for similar development along the same road.
The proposal was submitted to the council on March 16 but only entered public consultation on April 1. The plans will remain in consultation until April 22 under planning application number P/26/01163/FUL.
It is expected that a decision on the application will be made by planning officers after consultation finishes.
