On Thursday April 2, officers from East Dorset Police attended an address in Wimborne in an attempt to locate a wanted male.
Using intelligence gained, the officers present were able to force entry to the property where the man had been.
He was wanted for a handful of offences, including six shoplifting offences, six breaches of bail and a further offence for failing to appear in court.
It was added that despite being taken into custody, the man was ‘very compliant’.
A spokesperson for East Dorset Police said: “Last week on Thursday 2/04/2026 myself and 5 other officers attended an address in Wimborne where we believed a wanted male was staying.
“We had intelligence and used this as grounds to force entry into the property. The male was very compliant and was taken to custody.
“He was wanted for multiple offences including 6 shoplifting offences, 6 breaching of bail offences and an offence for failing to appear in court.”
