FT: Birmingham City 0-1 Manchester City
Manchester City captain Alex Greenwood speaking to TNT Sports: “We got the job done in the end, that was the most important thing. Credit to them [Birmingham] they made it difficult for us today and posed a couple of threats. I wouldn’t say that we were at our best but that is the challenge of the FA Cup, and we’re through to the semi-final.
“There is something different [this season], a mentality shift. There’s a lot of confidence in the group. The togetherness within the group is unbelievable, we’re a really close-knit club. We back each other, those that are on the pitch, and those that come on, so there is a slight difference there.
“There’s a change in how we play a bit as well. The positivity to play forward when we can, the freedom of expression, and all of that combined means that we’re in a really good place.”
