Panutche Camara reckons Dundee United pal Amar Fatah is good enough for the English Premier League.

But the Tannadice ace is determined to keep chipping away at his buddy in a strong attempt to keep him on Tayside for another term.

Fatah has just half-a-dozen games left on his loan deal from Troyes and confessed after the weekend loss to Rangers that he has a big decision to make on his next career step.

United boss Jim Goodwin is desperate to extend the 22-year-old’s stay, but knows it’ll be difficult and admits fans should enjoy him while he’s still around.

Camara and Fatah have become close during their time together in Dundee and he has not given up on convincing his Swedish mate to stick around for 2026/27 with United, even though he’s fully aware the playmaker is destined for the highest levels.

He said: “Amar is good enough to play in the Premier League, if he keeps working. He works so hard, so we’d be happy if he’s here next season because he makes a difference.

“Amar is a top player, a good guy who will have a great career. I will try to make sure he stays, I will do my best!

“He has enjoyed this season, he has played a lot of games and has kept improving. He’s a different player now compared to the one we signed last summer.”

Camara actually feels that staying at United could be of benefit to Fatah in the long run with the game-time and responsibility aiding his development at a vital stage of his burgeoning career.

He added: “He is developing and staying here would take him to a new level because he would play more games. It would be good for him at his age to get another season of games with us.”
