Officers in Poole dealt with 15 reports of ASB over the past week as part of ongoing efforts to tackle community concerns.

The Poole Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) said it has seen an increase in incidents, particularly involving young people during school holidays and extended breaks.

Police say a combination of unsupervised time, disrupted routines and a lack of structured activities can contribute to disorder, with officers working alongside BCP Council and local schools to identify those involved and put early interventions in place.

As part of targeted action, patrols have been stepped up at Branksome Recreation Ground following increased reports in the area.

The team also carried out a range of enforcement and safeguarding activity during the week, including: two vehicle seizures, one arrest, six welfare checks and reassurance visits and use of dispersal powers in response to incidents.

Officers also conducted patrols in hotspot areas including Poole town centre, Poole Bus Station, Ashley Road and Branksome.

Alongside enforcement, neighbourhood officers have continued community engagement work, attending four public events and running regular contact sessions at Dolphin Centre, as well as bike tagging in Canford Heath.
