Adama Traore’s performance against Leeds was not lost on Jarrod Bowen even despite the fact that West Ham United ultimately tasted defeat in the game.
Indeed, West Ham United’s journey in the FA Cup came to a disappointing end on Sunday when Leeds beat them on penalties to progress in the semi-finals of the competition.
What did you make of Adama Traore’s performance?
Has he won you over?
West Ham did not play well for long periods of the game against Leeds but Traore was something of a standout.
In fact, the January transfer window arrival surely had his best game for West Ham yet, and it was his fine cross that teed up Axel Disasi for the late equaliser in normal time.
Bowen was impressed.
Bowen praises Traore after West Ham lose to Leeds
The Hammers skipper was speaking to West Ham’s official website.
Bowen hailed his teammate and said: “I thought Adama [Traore] was brilliant from start to finish today.”
There will surely not be many who disagree with that view. Traore was brilliant against Leeds and more performances like that would be most welcome indeed.

Though there is seemingly hope that Crysencio Summerville will be able to feature when West Ham play Wolves later this week, knowing that Traore could be a decent replacement on the left wing is a slightly reassuring thought.

As per FotMob data, the former Wolves and Fulham star created six chances – two of which were considered big ones.
Traore also completed eight of his 11 attempted dribbles and won 12 of the 19 ground duels he contested.
Traore was excellent against Leeds and there’s little reason why he cannot play a key role in the final seven games of the season.
The Spaniard may never be a genuine starter for the club but he has proven – against Premier League opposition no less – that he can make a genuine impact.
There were not many positives to emerge from Sunday’s game but Traore’s performance was one of them.
