Erling Haaland received an X-rated message from one of his Manchester City teammates after his treble against Liverpool. The Norwegian added another hat-trick to his impressive collection after Pep Guardiola’s side dismantled the Reds 4-0 to book their place in the FA Cup semi-final.
Despite a spirited start from Arne Slot’s side, they capitulated against the Carabao Cup winners as the Dutchman’s issues deepened with pressure increasing tenfold. For City, they became the first side in the last four at Wembley later this month with Antoine Semenyo also on target in the win over Liverpool.
Haaland picked up a 28th career match ball after his hat-trick on Saturday afternoon. Sharing his momento on social media, Haaland posed with the matchball and one of the messages was particularly striking.
One of his team-mates wrote: “Well done you big f****** weirdo!”

Speaking after the game, Haaland said: “This club has to win trophies on the biggest stage. It’s been some time since I have done it [scored a hat-trick] for City. It is special so I am super happy.”
For the Norwegian, he has found his goalscoring boots at the perfect time with City in the midst of a Premier League title race with Arsenal.
Guardiola got one over on his former confidant, Mikel Arteta, on the eve of the international break as City beat Arsenal 2-0 to claim another Carabao Cup success.
City sit nine points off the league leaders going into next weekend’s fixtures as the Premier League returns. They visit Chelsea on April 12 (4.30pm) with Liam Rosenior looking for his side to gather momentum after their 7-0 win over Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Arsenal return to action after their encounter with Championship side Southampton with a trip to Sporting CP in the Champions League. Following their quarter-final showdown with Viktor Gyokeres’ former club, they host Bournemouth on April 11 (12.30pm).

Erling Haaland showcased his hat-trick ball after his treble against Liverpool
Pep Lijnders raved about the City hero after their win over his former club. The City assistant said: “I worked with a lot of good strikers, with a lot of goals, with a lot of finals and trophies.
“Erling scored the 12th hat-trick today for Man City and the second goal was insane.
“He weighed the attack, he flies, the way he puts the ball into the corner. I love these old-school striker goals.
“I am not saying he carries Norway, but we all know how important he is for them, he feels that responsibility.
“It is clear then that not everything throughout a long season will go your way, but it shows character again and mentality that he comes back in this fashion.”
