A main city road was forced to shut following a flat fire earlier today, April 3. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to the busy road shortly before 11.30am to reports of a fire in a three-storey building.
Emergency services closed the road in both directions with an investigation underway at the site of the blaze. One video seen by the ECHO showed smoke coming from a window of the building while emergency service vehicles lined the road.
