Andoni Iraola was appointed manager of AFC Bournemouth on 19th June 2023 and has achieved a 9th and 12th place finish in his two seasons in the Premier League.
Iraola has been linked with a move away from the club because his boyhood club Athletic Bilbao will be looking for a new manager at the end of the season.
Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur have also been keeping tabs on the availability of the Spaniard.
If Iraola was to leave who are the possible replacements for Bournemouth?
1. Kjetil Knutsen

Currently managing in Norway with Bodo Glimt, he guided them to the Champions League Round of 16 beating the likes of Inter and Manchester City along the way.
The club has a similar playing style to Iraola’s Cherries by playing high press, counter-attacking football.
Bodo Glimt have a similar stature as Bournemouth with their stadium only holding 8270 seats so Knutsen knows how to overachieve with a smaller club.
2. Vasco Botelho da Costa

Bournemouth’s ownership group Black Knight Football Club have a majority ownership in Portuguese club Moreirense FC.
Vasco Botelho da Costa is currently the manager of them and Bournemouth view him as a future replacement for Iraola.
The Portuguese club also play counter-attacking football and the club thinks he will be an ideal fit for the club philosophy.
3. Edin Terzic

Bournemouth could also go in for the German who has been out of a job since 2024 after leaving Borussia Dortmund.
He is also the front runner for the Athletic Bilbao job which could completely change direction with Iraola going to the Basque club and Terzic coming to the south coast of England.
Terzic worked as an assistant at West Ham and Besiktas of Slaven Bilic before making the step up to be interim manager of Dortmund.
4. Jorge Sampaoli

This is a high profile and experienced option for Bournemouth who plays high intensity football similar to Iraola.
Sampaoli had a brief spell as the Argentina manager in 2017 before managing the likes of Marseille, Rennes, Sevilla and Flamengo.
The 66-year-old could be an alternative and an under the radar appointment which could go on to be a beneficial signature.
5. Roy Hodgson

The experienced Englishman will be the perfect fit for Bournemouth after leaving Crystal Palace in 2024.
He has managed 22 different teams in eight countries, with his most notable stints being with England and Liverpool.
This is satire but the 78-year-old has become the new Bristol City manager on an interim basis.
