Premier League’s all-time record goalscorer selects his standout players and manager in 2025/26
With less than two months of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign remaining, Alan Shearer has selected the players who have impressed him the most in his Team of the Season so far.

Shearer, the Premier League Hall of Fame inductee and record goalscorer, has named four players from the league leaders Arsenal in his line-up.
A solid defence has been key to the Gunners’ success so far and Shearer has picked goalkeeper David Raya and centre-back duo William Saliba and Gabriel in his starting XI, as well as midfielder Declan Rice.
Elsewhere, Manchester City trio Nico O’Reilly, Antoine Semenyo and leading goalscorer Erling Haaland have been named in Shearer’s team, with players from Manchester United, Chelsea, Fulham and Brentford also represented.
Keith Andrews, who has produced an outstanding campaign for Brentford – with his side seventh and chasing European qualification in his first season as a head coach – has been selected as Shearer’s manager of the season so far.
