Odegaard had long been associated with sports equipment giant Nike, dating all the way back to 2014 when he made his senior debut with Norwegian side Stromsgodset.

An announcement on Wednesday via the official Adidas X account, formerly Twitter, welcomed the Norway international to the family.

“MØre control. Welcome to the ///,” a statement read.

The Norway international has not featured since a substitute appearance in the aforementioned north London derby, missing the last nine games in all competitions for club and country with a knee injury.

“Now it is three weeks until Arsenal play again, or two-and-a-half weeks. I think it could be a goal for Martin to be in a squad (for his club) then. It is within reach,” Norway manager Stale Solbakken said of Odegaard.

“There is no reason for him to travel now. He has to train (with Arsenal).

“If he wants to use a day off to come here, he is welcome to do so, but it is not something that has been planned.”

What boots will Odegaard be wearing?

Odegaard has officially joined Adidas as an ambassador for the Predator silo boot and a special version has been created for the Arsenal captain.

The boot features a knit structure instead of a standard tongue, combining laceless aesthetics with traditional lacing adjustability.

The boot ranges from the most expensive at £240 to the cheapest price of £55. The boots are also available in a variety of colours for children and adults.
