Performers from LEAF Studio school in Bournemouth delivered six routines at MOVE IT 2026, held at ExCeL London from March 20 to March 22.

Their performances included jazz, contemporary and musical theatre pieces.

Geoff Lake, assistant vice principal at LEAF Studio, said: “Our performers represented LEAF Studio with real pride, dancing confidently alongside vocational colleges and universities.

“They demonstrated a maturity and presence that set them apart.”

Students also gained experience as assistant choreographers and dance captains.

Katie Magookin, head of dance, said: “We couldn’t be prouder of our performers.

“They’ve coped with a very demanding rehearsal schedule alongside regular curriculum work.

“Their commitment highlights the professionalism with which they approach every project.”

In a major achievement, LEAF Studio was invited to perform in the MOVE IT Grand Finale – an exclusive showcase featuring ten of the UK’s top sixth form colleges on the main stage.

Local audiences will be able to see the students’ work this July at LEAF Studio’s end-of-year show, Roaring On.

The production, taking place at Lighthouse Poole in July, will feature dance, singing, and acting, and celebrates the students’ achievements over the past year.
