West Ham have a huge opportunity to provide a lift this weekend that could well spark the final push for Premier League survival.
Despite it being a very difficult season in east London, with the club having spent the entire Premier League campaign at the wrong end of the table, there is still a very real possibility that the season could be a very special one.
Nuno’s Hammers face Leeds United this Sunday in the FA Cup Quarter Final, with a trip to Wembley up for grabs and a spot in the final 4 of the famous competition.
Although its a side line of excitement away from the nerves of the Premier League, this game has the potential to have a serious knock-on effect which could seriously shift the confidence levels in survival.
Speaking ahead of the Quarter-Final at the London Stadium on Sunday, The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker shared his thoughts, knowing that this game has the potential to be a huge moment for this football club.
“Beating Leeds would mean a day at Wembley for the fans in the semi and we all deserve that,” stated Walker. “If we make it, we’re 90 minutes away from a final where anything can happen and to win it would be incredible, especially if we stay up as well.”
