Manager Eddie Howe is under pressure with the Magpies now concentratng on Premier League only, however they are struggling in mid-table with games running out. The board and the owners claim they have high expectations, then they need to come out and action it.

our ploblem is the season we qualify for europe we have a shit season because our squad isnt big enough to deal with the amount of fixtures and think about this we have played more games in europe than any other club with 51 matches so its going to be the case that we are going to get tired especially when we play a high press in your face style of football so people get a grip
It has been toxic Lee. The press always speculate about us during international breaks. The truth is, Bruno's not leaving. Strangely I think Livramento is staying too. Tonali looks like he's going, but maybe we're all just a bit paranoid after what happened with Isak last summer. There is money to invest in the squad, we know that (though not how much). Some older players will leave.
As for Eddie Howe, it's simple. If we get Europe (of any kind) he stays. If not, the PIF have to sack him on the grounds of credibility. All this speculation about Mourinho seems divisive, but not impossible. It's far more likely to Iraola or (as most supporters I speak to want) Nagelsmann after the World Cup.

Big changes coming up this summer. I hope for the better. If Howe stays, he needs to change up too. Intensity only works when players are fresh. After some time doing it, fatigue sets in and injuries increase. We've seen that over the 2 CL years.

We have the most deluded fan base in the Country i always thoight that tag was harsh but this season i have saw it even more so. Facts are Howe has more than overachieved with our team.
Saying he's had a bad spell is a bit far fetched. We went all out to be competitive in the domestic cups and the CL which will always come with a downfall somewhere. Especially when we don't have the squad depth to compete on all fronts.
Knocked out of the CL by Barcelona in the last 16 and the two domestic cups by a Man City. Which one of them was another cup semi final. That being said this was always gonna come with a knock on effect as in PL form was always gonna take a battering.
I called it at the start of the season a mid table finish would be tough if we went all out to be competitive in all the domestic cups and Europe.
Facts are a CL qualification and a Cup run is as good as it will ever get for us as a club with Current financial Rules abd APT rules as they stand especially in a season when we're playing European Football. This is the peak for us. Fans need to be realistic not deluded.

Personally im Eddie in. Yes we lost the derby yes it's been a difficult season but when a team plays 50 odd games what fo you expect. Injures and players are knackered. We just don't have the squad to complete. Hopefully in the summer we can go out a buy 5-6 player's and get rid of some of the dead wood. At least this summer we will have a director of football and a CEO. And hopefully Eddie is still around. Just look at the players he's improved.
