Chelsea have opted to fire Liam Rosenior and replace him with ex-Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.

The Blues board were not satisfied with Rosenior’s 52.6% win rate, and they have opted to appoint someone whose 38.1% win ratio during his time at Old Trafford will give them a much better chance of clinching a top 5 spot.

Amorim has already decided that he will be benching one of Chelsea’s most promising young players.

After freezing out Kobbie Mainoo at United, he feels the same approach will also work wonders for team morale at Stamford Bridge.

There is already speculation that Estevao will be the fall guy. Amorim feels the winger simply doesn’t have what it takes to make it in the Premier League, and he won’t listen to the likes of 5x Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti and others who insist he is one of the talented teenagers in the world.

Amorim is already ruffling feathers

Despite not even having taken charge of his first game, the 41-year-old is hard at work, not only upsetting players and fans, but also the club’s hierarchy.

Even though Amorim initially agreed to leave transfers to the Blues’ transfer geniuses, Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart, he has now declared that, as he is the manager, only he will get a say in who will be signed.

That could force the club into yet another managerial change before the season is over.

Lampard could be brought in as interim Chelsea boss (again!)

If Amorim does receive his marching orders, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital may opt to appoint Frank Lampard once again.

After winning 9.1% of his matches during his second spell in charge, there is a feeling that things could work out the third time around.

As you may have gathered, this is an April Fool’s story. Have a good day and don’t believe everything you read online!
