Unlikely we got the spare change for him after all the important deals have been done, but Balde really needs competition to push himself. It seems like ages ago and he’s still passing back nearly every time instead of attempting a cross or taking his man on.
Then again, the only way I see this signing happen is if Balde is traded or sold for Cucu.

Would be amazing to get him. Definitely a way better option than a cancelo or Grimaldo but definitely a more pricey one. But he only has 2 years left in his contract and market value around 40 mil I believe so probably wouldn’t cost anything over 40-55 Mil.

All of these are good options, but I think we’ll have a limited budget this summer and will need to prioritize. At this point, the No. 9 position is the most important, followed by a Left CB. Once these are filled, we can look at other positions. I also wonder if we are going to extend Cancelo, then we really need a LB. I would probably prioritize a Left Winger over a LB, especially to deal with any injury situations with Raphinha or Rashford.It’s good to know we have options available for some of the other positions but I really don’t think we can spend beyond the 2-3 critical ones.
