Just over six months after a meeting with Graham Potter at West Ham, Jean-Clair Todibo has started to respond on the pitch.

Watching Todibo in recent weeks has been little short of fantastic.

The Frenchman, along with the likes of Axel Disasi and Konstantinos Mavropanos, has significantly improved and it is because of that, that West Ham may stay in the Premier League after all.

Would you take relegation if it meant that David Sullivan would leave?! 🤔

Not a nice position to be in – but what would YOU choose if you had to?

Disasi looks like an inspired signing, while Mavropanos is playing the best football of his West Ham career.

Todibo, meanwhile, has been excellent when fit, which makes a meeting he had with Graham Potter in September 2025 all the more interesting.

Potter told Todibo to improve in September 2025

Back in September, The Athletic reported that Potter had grown frustrated with Todibo’s inconsistent performances.

After being dropped for the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham in September, the defender was pulled in by Potter for a meeting for a poor performance in training.

This team stays up ahead of Spurs 😎

Only debate is Dinos or Todibo….

Todibo was duly told to improve, which didn’t really happen for a few months.

In total, the 26-year-old made 15 appearances during Potter’s largely miserable time of things here in east London.

Todibo has turned things around at West Ham, improving alongside his aforementioned defensive teammates.

In fact, Todibo has hinted that Potter’s departure has led to his improvement at West Ham, which is not exactly a ringing endorsement of either of them.

Right now, however, all that matters is that he keeps playing an impressive role.

The 2-cap French international was ruled out in the warm-up before West Ham lost to Aston Villa in the final game before the international break.

That was a major blow considering his recent form but Hammers News understands that Todibo is likely to be fully fit for West Ham after the international break is complete.
