The debate between past and present England teams is always interesting, especially when it comes to big names.
Former Arsenal star Theo Walcott has now shared his opinion by comparing the 2006 England squad with Thomas Tuchel’s current team.
There are many difficult decisions in that comparison, especially in positions where England have always had quality players.
Walcott has made a big call involving Bukayo Saka and David Beckham.
Answer honestly: Is Bukayo Saka really the best winger in the world right now?

Beckham is one of the most iconic players in England’s history.
The Manchester United legend was a star on and off the pitch, and he produced many memorable moments for club and country.
Saka, on the other hand, is from the new generation, and he is one of England’s most important players right now.
The Arsenal star has already shown his quality many times and continues to improve. He has the potential to become one of the greatest players ever – for the Three Lions as well as the Gunners.

In a video on Prime Video Sport UK, Walcott was asked to pick between Saka and Beckham while he was comparing the England squads of 2006 and 2026.
He replied: “Depends on what I want from my right side… Saka!”
Previously, Darren Bent also claimed that Saka is better than Beckham.
That may surprise a few people because of Beckham’s legacy, but it also shows just how highly rated Saka is among former players.

Bukayo Saka needs to win trophies to be better than David Beckham
Saka is an unbelievable player and could become one of the best ever. However, at the moment, he cannot be compared to Beckham.
The legendary number seven won 21 trophies during his time as a player, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League.
Saka, on the other hand, has one FA Cup and a couple of Community Shields, which are not enough for him to be compared with the greats.
What the Arsenal man has going in his favour is his goals tally. He is just six goals away from matching Beckham’s tally in England, even though he has played 89 games fewer.
Saka will definitely surpass the Manchester United icon’s goal tally, but whether he can match his trophy cabinet remains to be seen.
