Arsenal’s list of injuries has increased once again.

Piero Hincapie became the latest player to pull out of international duty, while Martin Zubimendi has also been sent home from Spain.

One player who didn’t even make it to his national side was Eberechi Eze, who suffered a calf injury against Bayer Leverkusen and missed the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

The initial timeframe reported was four to six weeks, but Arsenal are hoping that Eze will be back for their trip to the Etihad Stadium.

🧠 Will Arsenal’s defeat to Man City have a psychological blow on the PL title race?

The clash between Arsenal and Manchester City is the biggest game of the season.

The Gunners are nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.

That means the gap will drop to six if they win their extra fixture, and it could further be reduced to three points if they beat Arsenal at the Etihad.

On the flip side, if Mikel Arteta’s men beat Manchester City when the two sides meet, many feel that the title race will be over.

That is why Arsenal need all the help they can get, and The Mirror claim that the Gunners are hoping to have Eberechi Eze back for that fixture.

The Englishman’s record in the business end of the season is incredible, and if he is available, the Gunners’ chances of winning will increase.

However, it remains to be seen if Arsenal’s hopes will turn into reality in the coming weeks.

Answer honestly, can Arsenal win the Premier League without Eberechi Eze?

Arsenal’s luck with injuries has been terrible since the start of the season.

We’re almost in April, and Arteta still hasn’t had the luxury of having a fully fit squad available at his disposal.

Now, ahead of the most important part of the season, the Gunners have a long, worrying list of players who are not fully fit.

Eze is one of them, and as we said above, Zubimendi and Hincapie are the latest additions. Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Noni Madueke were sent home by England as well.

Furthermore, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard pulled out of international duty right after the Carabao Cup final. Jurrien Timber, Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino are the three others who have been on the sidelines with injuries.

That’s 12 first-team players whose fitness is in doubt right now, which is a massive concern.
