The young swimmers from Seagulls Swimming Club Christchurch took part in this year’s swimathon, aiming to raise funds and collectively covered 44,000 metres in the pool.
The team’s swim distances were varied; they successfully completed their goals and were cheered on by their parents, who were filled with pride.
The swimmers, along with their dedicated coaches Martin Littlefair and Anand Vaithilingam, put in the effort to ensure they completed the swimathon successfully.

Mastering their swimming techniques during training, they took on the swimathon with a spirit of competition and camaraderie.
The children hailed from all age groups, from nine to 13-years-old.
The participants were Mio, who swam 5,000 metres; Sasha, who took on an impressive 15,000 metres; Shanice with 2,500 metres; Ashley with 1,500 metres; Lily, Audrey, Florence, and Millie each completed 5,000 metres.
The team collectively managed to raise an impressive £1,632 for charity this year.
The parents of the swimmers are particularly proud of their children’s milestones.
All of the parents are beyond proud of their children’s accomplishment and want to do what they can for others while doing something they enjoy and love so much.
