Wolverhampton Wanderers are in pole position to sign rumoured Rangers target Silas Andersen in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Wolves are reportedly looking to fend off competition from several clubs for the 21-year-old midfielder, who currently plays for Swedish side BK Hacken.
Both Rangers and Celtic hold Andersen in high regard, with the Ibrox side reportedly making enquiries for the Danish midfielder in January.
Hacken have so far rebuffed advances from interested clubs for Andersen, who is valued at around £9 million by the Swedish side.
Wolves Leading Race for Silas Andersen

According to TEAMtalk, Andersen has attracted significant interest from both Wolves and Rangers ahead of the summer, despite only recently signing a new long-term contract with Hacken until 2029.
Wolves are claimed to be closely monitoring the ‘relentless’ 21-year-old amid their looming Premier League relegation, sitting rock-bottom of the table with seven games to play.
The Molineux outfit view Andersen as a long-term investment who could bolster their engine room amid growing uncertainty over Joao Gomes’ future.
The Brazilian midfielder looks set to depart Wolves if they are relegated and is reportedly being watched by Manchester United ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Rangers’ chances of landing Andersen could be boosted by Champions League qualification – a return to the pinnacle of European football would significantly improve their financial firepower this summer.
Danny Rohl’s side are second in the Scottish Premiership table, three points behind Hearts and two ahead of Celtic in third.
Rangers Looking to Retain Mikey Moore

Rangers could look to retain the majority of the squad that has excelled under Danny Rohl this season and are already making moves to secure the future of Mikey Moore.
The Tottenham Hotspur loanee has been heavily trusted by Rohl in recent weeks, producing a man-of-the-match display in their 4-1 win over Aberdeen and scoring Rangers’ second goal.
Following Moore’s latest strong performance, Rohl revealed Rangers are in talks with Tottenham over extending the 18-year-old’s loan stay at Ibrox.
Moore joined Rangers from Spurs on loan in August and has made 40 appearances this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
The youngster has featured in all of Rangers’ last seven league matches, helping them remain unbeaten since December 21.
