A Nisa Local store, located at 57 High Street in Christchurch, had its application for a premises licence taken to committee on March 18 after one objection raised concerns about public safety, prevention of crime and disorder, protection of children and public nuisance.
The application seeks permission for the off sale of alcohol between 7am and 11pm.
Oktay Kurtoglu, designated premises supervisor, told the committee on March 18 the he had experience of operating several different licensed premises within the BCP area in Purewell, Springbourne and Westbourne over a period of 20 years.
The committee noted that these premises appear to have operated correctly with no reported issues.
Conditions have been placed on the licence following mediation between Dorset Drug and Alcohol Harm Reduction team and the applicant.
These conditions included not selling single cans or bottles, operating CCTV, keeping and incident logs, and training staff on policies like alcohol percentage verification.
The licensing committee confirmed it had taken information from the objectors written submission into consideration when making its decision.
