A SUPERMARKET worker reported an assault to police during a ‘busy’ patrol shift across Bournemouth.

Officers from Dorset Police said the incident was among a number of issues dealt with while out on duty on March 26.

Posting on Facebook, Bournemouth Police described the shift as “productive”, with PCs Keith and Charlotte issuing a Community Protection Warning and progressing Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction paperwork in partnership with BCP anti-social behaviour officers.

They also attended an incident at a supermarket where a member of staff reported being assaulted.

They said: “Staff and the supermarket are assisting officers with their enquiries.”

Alongside responding to incidents, officers said they carried out reassurance work in the community, including visiting and updating victims, speaking with local businesses about concerns and conducting mobile patrols across the Bournemouth North area.

They also provided advice and guidance to a member of the public on behalf of Border Force following the seizure of a parcel.

Meanwhile, PCSO Mike was on foot patrol in Winton and Charminster, engaging with residents and business owners.

He also supported victims of romance fraud, offering advice to help protect them from further harm.

Police said patrols and engagement work would continue as part of ongoing efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour and support the local community.
