A shop worker was spat at and assaulted by a teenage girl or woman in a Southampton supermarket, police have said.
Hampshire police are appealing for witnesses after the incident, which took place at the Sainsbury’s store on Bedford Place.
It was reported a young woman spat at and assaulted a staff member at around 6.40pm on Friday, March 20.

The suspect is described as a white woman, aged between 14 and 18, of slim build, with long, light brown hair.

She was wearing white trousers and a black jacket at the time.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in Southampton.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44260133660.”
