Kroos, Modric, Bale, and Isco on the bench. Talk about confidence!

It was awesome to have such a squad depth, but does it show that Perez has his flaws???? It’s crazy how some of the fans don’t allow others to criticize Perez (yeah, we can thank him for his past achievements), when it clearly shows that our squad depth has been shrunk and is shrinking every season and nothing is being done by “the greatest president”🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Why let go Kroos and bring Mbappe as if it would help us solve a problem???? Why not immideately go to the transfer market to find a replacement to a “missing puzzle”. There are other examples that could surely be mentioned, but this is one of the ones that bothers me
It’s actually painful to look back at that 2018 bench vs PSG. Just look at the insane drop in pure quality when you compare it to our recent 2026 bench against Man City.
I just ran the numbers for both:
* 2018 Bench (PSG): Valued at €316M (€45M avg per player). It was composed of ready-made superstars like Bale, Kroos, and Modric in their prime.
* 2026 Bench (City): Valued at €239M (€19M avg per player). Outside of Camavinga, it’s mostly youth players or rotation guys.
We dropped nearly €80 million in bench value. The strategy clearly shifted from having a ‘Superstar safety net’ to relying on *La Fábrica* to balance the books. The depth we had during the 3-peat era was unmatched, and yes, it has definitely lost quality.”

Still pisses me off we weren’t consistent enough in other comps to win the treble each of those years. What a great time though
