The order will be in effect from 4pm today until 4pm on Sunday for the retail park, located on Bursledon Road.

Police said it comes in response to ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “Anyone whose behaviour is causing, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm, or distress will be dispersed from the area.”

Dispersal powers are granted under sections 34 and 35 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

These allow a senior officer to authorise a set area for up to 48 hours.

During this period, officers can direct individuals to leave if their actions are causing or likely to cause harassment, alarm, distress, or contribute to crime or disorder.

Those ordered to leave who return to the area within the specified time are committing a criminal offence and can be arrested.

It comes after police implemented a huge dispersal order in Southampton city centre on Thursday.
