Ellis Platten, founder and content creator of the YouTube channel AwayDays, took to X to joke about him trying to buy a Town shirt for his friend, Alfie Indra, who supports Town.

In the post, he said: “Well, there’s my outfit for Alfie on the next AwayDay ruined”.

This was accompanied by two screenshots, one of his order, which showed a junior extra-large home shirt with Farage 10 on the back, and a response from the club.

The response said: “We have cancelled and refunded your order in full. This is due to the nature of the printing request”.

AwayDays is a channel with nearly 600,000 subscribers on YouTube, with Platten, alongside his friends Indra and Ben Gibbs, going to away games and showcasing different football grounds around the world.

It comes days after Reform UK leader Nigel Farage visited Portman Road for a private stadium tour, and used the opportunity for publicity.

Both Farage and Reform posted on social media about the visit, which sparked mass controversy across the UK about whether this should have happened.

Ipswich Town released a statement to say they “remain apolitical and does not support or endorse any individual or party.”
