I think Trent is a good professional.. he’s excellent with his distribution but at the end of the day he’s a defender who isn’t the best at defending. Having said that it’s crazy that he can’t make this England squad.

IMO TAA is and always will be a wing back rather than an orthodox right back.
As a defender TAA doesn't read the game well and can't sniff danger.
First and foremost a defender needs these qualities and there are better options with these qualities than TAA.
Trent is by far the best English RB and one of if not the best RB in the world. His attacking abilities are so far ahead of the rest that even when you mark him down on defence, he still outshines the lot of em. I even have him starting ahead of Reece James, easily. No1 can do what Trent does he’s the Ace in the deck of cards, an absolute maverick and the hate he gets is unreal. 🤦♂️

I feel like not bringing TAA to the WC is ignoring the fact that the squad is for tournament football and not a PL campaign. Trent can come on if you need a goal and change the game with one pass no one else can do that and what about a penalty shoot out Trent is one of Englands best penalty takers during a shoot out
We need to stop pretending that TAA is a FULL BACK! He is a WING BACK at best and that is being generous! He was a system player under Klopp with Henderson and/or Fabinho to tuck in and clear up his MESS when he was very often making defensive errors and out of position.

TAA should be in the squad as an impact sub, nothing wrong with not starting him but surely you have to have him in the squad for the impact he could provide off the bench.

Liverpool won every single trophy available with TAA an ever-present and Real Madrid decided to buy him. The way people talk about Trent you'd think his level is Accrington Stanley; it's ridiculous.
Why is it that nobody talks about how the likes of Ben White can't attack? Why is there such an emphasis on full backs needing to defend? It's as if England wants to play like Stoke. They should be thinking about how to harm the opposition as much as how to deal with them.

True professional ??? Jumped ship for £200grand per week & living life in the sun, expecting to walk in to one of the biggest clubs in the world & be in the first team !!! He had that at Liverpool without the weather. Most of the games Liverpool lost under Klopp was his defensive mistakes, he wouldve needed to score & or assist in every other game to compensate. I hope he has a great time at Madrid & i mean that in a kind way because there's a GREAT player in there to evolve with the right coaching
Trent is fine at crossing the ball but he can’t defend he can’t tackle and he doesn’t have the engine or power to get up and down the pitch…good cal by Tuchel…we have better options..
when Liverpool where winning titles nobody talked about trents defending, he's a far better footballer than some of the planks he's bringing into his squad who in the England squad can get 20 assists a season
Wan-Bissaka is not a bad call for certain situations and England risk losing him to DR Congo if England keep ignoring him even though he is not necessarily a starter but better defensively than Trent!
