  1. Carrick's team continues to play well, Carrick gets the job.

Tired of hearing about managers winning with very good to exceptional teams.

Will Enrique invest time in diligently watching the youngsters? Not likely. Does he have the pulse of English League football? No.

Has he felt the pressure of being a part of the most known team in the world? No.

Carrick has. Oh, and quiet as kept, one of Carrick's master strokes has been the hire of Evans directly after he retired.

    But Carrick does.

  2. Interesting to hear your words lads after your pal Ste Howsons earlier post outlining his views on how he felt Enrique would be wrong for us.

  3. I don't rate Enrique anywhere as highly as everyone else seems to. His success has come at clubs who already had superstar laden fully formed squads and United are far FAR away from being that. Barca and PSG arguably should be fighting for a treble every single season. If they weren't then they had all the money in the world, or levers to pull, to make that happen. He is not suited to coming here and rebuilding this club, that has never been his skillset so I just don't see the attraction of him here.

  4. But some genius fan like flex would rather have carrick than Enrique ,I am sick of no tactics carrick this thing won't work here we don't have world class players like Madrid

  5. 11:44 During the road to their UCL final, Vitinha gave an interview to Rio Ferdinand about how strict and rigid of Enrique's principle was in his first full season with PSG.

I'm trying to paraphrase here, but it was like, he almost gave no freedom to player in their positioning on the pitch. Enrique made sure the squad can play properly under his system. Until his second full season that he started to allow his players to have more freedom and rotation on the pitch.

    Sound familiar? 😂

Don't get me wrong, I want Enrique more than Carrick, but do Man United fans want to evolve to something more modern, or still want to just play 'simple' football and keep complaining about how we can't penetrate low-block properly or why we can't completely control the game when facing big teams.

  6. Everyone is forgetting enrique has always inherited mega squads in sub standard leagues I’m afraid the job is too different over here I don’t think he’ll do the job

  7. We’ve had serial winners before – Mourinho and Van Gaal to name two. They failed . Stick with Carrick who so far has only lost one but has brought back the spirit and flair of United in spades

  8. No…no…no…we just had that kind of manager and it was disastrous, until we have proper execs to guide the FC and buy proper players, then we might have the Enriques of the world…

  9. More and more I think that the ‘magic powers’ of managers are overrated. They are not a keystone to success, they are the cherry on top. First you need to build a world class squad.

I’m not convinced he’d succeed at United. I think he’d do far better at city. The difference being that they’d give him the tools to work with.

  10. Just like he said, PSG were struggling in the UCL group stages last season and flipped the switch during knockout stages. But why is no one talking about the fact that they didn’t just automatically flip a switch, they were struggling coz there was a missing piece in the team and by the time the knockout stage arrived they had fixed it with the signing of a world class winger in Kvara. Now, can he handle a team where there will always be missing pieces that will not be fixed with world class signings mid season.
