Fulham want to retain AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze in the Premier League after this season.

Last summer, the Nigeria international joined Fulham from the Serie A side on loan with an option to buy.

Marco Silva has used him on both wings even though his preferred role is on the right side of the attack.

He scored three goals and contributed four assists in 804 minutes from 17 league matches for Fulham. His statistics per game in the Premier League are as follows.

Expected Goals [per season]: 1.87
Expected Assists [per season]: 2.97
Big changes created [per season]: 4
Key passes: 1.1
Shots on target: 0.4
Successful dribbles: 1.0

Earlier in the season, Sport Witness relayed news that was belief the London club will retain the 26-year-old.

Milan aware of Fulham’s plan for Chukwueze

Calciomercato have a short report on where the winger will play beyond this season.

His form convinces Silva’s side to make an effort to retain him. Therefore, Fulham have communicated to Milan of wanting to exercising the purchase clause. In other words, the 26-year-old will leave the San Siro permanently in the summer.

Gazzetta dello Sport back that up and provide more on Fulham’s desire to hold on to the player.

His performances this season have seen other English clubs show interest. In short, he has several options to continue in the Premier League. The London club, who seem to be aware of this, are convinced of Samuel Chukwueze’s displays.

Therefore, Fulham have now ‘announced their intention’ to AC Milan of wanting to exercise his purchase clause. This could have been done to avoid competition from other unnamed Premier League side[s].

Gazzetta state the clause will allow the Rossoneri to earn €24m plus save on his €4m net per year salary. The fee raised from his sale is needed for Milan to improve their squad in the summer. Meanwhile, Fulham would also be a good option for Chukwueze.
