The relegation battle has just taken another twist as Tottenham are set to part ways with Igor Tudor.

Tudor will reportedly leave by mutual consent after failing to win any of his five Premier League games in the dugout.

Spurs are now considering replacing him with a former West Ham defender over the international break.

Where would West Ham be right NOW if we hadn’t sacked Graham Potter? 🤔

Chris Hughton on Tottenham’s interim manager shortlist

TEAMtalk have reported that ex-West Ham player Chris Hughton is “under strong consideration” for the Tottenham job.

Hughton was a Spurs legend as a player, making over 300 appearances and winning consecutive FA Cup trophies (1981-82).

He has also been interim manager of the North London club on three previous occasions in the 1990s, taking charge of 11 games in total.

However, the 67-year-old has ties to Tottenham’s relegation rivals, West Ham, too, having spent two seasons at Upton Park.

The former full-back actually left Spurs to join the Hammers in 1990 and made over 40 appearances in all competitions.

He was part of Billy Bonds’ side that achieved promotion to the First Division in the 1990-91 campaign.

Meanwhile, Hughton’s managerial career includes stints at Newcastle, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and, most recently, with the Ghana national team.

Now, five years since he was last on the touchline for a Premier League game, he could be tasked with keeping Tottenham in the top-flight.

Not that he was loved by West Ham fans anyway, but they will surely lose all respect for him if it leads to their relegation.
