Ben Newman, known online as Spudman, announced online he will be visiting the seaside on Sunday, April 5.

Spudman joined Bournemouth’s own potato fanatic, David Moseley, owner of Smokey Mose Hot Potato in his social media announcement.

The pair said they will be coming to Bournemouth town centre on Easter Sunday to serve up their viral spuds.

Spudman’s fans travel hundreds of miles to visit him, and recent visitors in Salisbury were reportedly queuing from 3.30am on March 22.

The viral content creator amassed more than 4.2million followers on TikTok after his jacket potato business from Tamworth went viral.

Whereas, Bournemouth’s Smokey Mose Hot Potato has been rising to fame in recent years with fans stopping for selfies in the supermarket.

David previously said he joined Spudman in Tamworth in January 2024 and said the queues were “crazy”.

He said he also keeps in touch with the Spud Brothers in Preston and Jacket Potato Lady in Portsmouth, adding it serves as a ‘camaraderie and is good for their businesses’.
