Juventus were ahead early on through Turkish wide man Kenan Yildiz, but saw themselves pegged back by Andrea Pinamonti after the restart.
Muric made numerous saves as the hosts pushed to win the game, and they were given a chance to do so from the spot in the 87th minute.
Andrea Locatelli stepped up, but he was denied by a strong low save from the Kosovo international, who went on to make an exceptional save from Arkadiusz Milik’s stoppage-time header, ensuring. the game finished level.
“It was about a feeling [about the penalty],” Muric said after the game . “The moment he kicked it, I thought I’m going to save it. I was feeling confident.
“The header from Milik was much more difficult, but I managed to keep that out too, so it’s a great day.”
Speaking about Muric, Sassuolo skipper Domenico Berardi said: “Aro has been giving us a big hand for a while now, he’s got great qualities and has been impressing for some time.”
Sassuolo have an option to sign Muric permanently this summer, with the fee understood to be more than €10m (around £8.6m). His loan club are reportedly hoping to negotiate a lower figure, while Juventus have also been linked with a move.
