Residents have reported a sulphur-like smell has lingered across the Wareham, Sandford and Holton Heath areas over the past two months.
Residents have said over the last two weeks the smell has got even worse, with many reporting suffering form headaches, migraines and sickness.
Over the past week, atmospheric and weather conditions have contributed to an increase in odour reports from landfills across the country.

The Environment Agency South West posted on X: “Over the past week, atmospheric and weather conditions have contributed to an increase in odour reports from landfills across the country.
“We are continuing to investigate odour complaints near Wareham, and have instructed Valencia Waste Management Ltd to make improvements.”
