Clarion Housing Group has had its plans to deliver new affordable homes next to Crystal Palace Park approved by Bromley Council, allowing the scheme to move forward.
Clarion will deliver 202 affordable homes, including 148 for social rent and 54 shared ownership homes, across two sites at Rockhills and Sydenham Villas. The development will help meet local housing need while bringing new community facilities to the area.
The scheme will include the delivery of a new community centre, creating a shared space for local residents and community groups close to the park.
The homes form part of the wider Crystal Palace Park masterplan, where the original land sale helped unlock more than £21million in funding for the regeneration of the park, alongside the delivery of new affordable housing.
Clarion’s plans will bring forward high-quality affordable homes designed to sit sensitively alongside the park and the surrounding neighbourhood, while providing new opportunities for local people to live in the area.

The development will contribute to the long-term vision for Crystal Palace Park, supporting the area with new homes and community facilities as well as playing a part in the wider programme of investment in the park. Clarion will continue to work closely with local partners as the scheme progresses.
