Former Ipswich Town midfielder Cole Skuse has agreed a new deal to remain the manager of Suffolk non-league side Bury Town.

The 39-year-old has committed his future at the seventh-tier outfit, alongside assistant manager Paul Musgrove, for the 2026/27 season.

Skuse was appointed manager at Ram Meadow in the summer of 2023, where he has enjoyed a successful spell, having guided them to promotion to step 3 after a dramatic play-off final victory last season.

It’s been another solid campaign under his management as Bury sit 12th in the Southern League Premier Division Central, with the Blues looking to establish themselves back at this level.

Bury Town chairman, Russell Ward spoke following this news and said: “We are delighted to have secured an early agreement with Cole and Paul to remain as manager and assistant manager respectively for next season.

“This early agreement allows them to begin preparations for the 2026/27 campaign to ensure that we are ready to hit the ground running again in August.

“We have all been pleased with the progress we have made this season at a higher level and look forward to seeing continued progress both on and off the pitch”

In total, Skuse made 278 appearances for Ipswich, scoring two goals during his eight year spell at Portman Road.
