Morgan Gibbs-White will be forgiven for celebrating his goal in front of the Tottenham fans as Nottingham Forest thrashed Spurs 3-0.
The attacker was all geared up for a move to Tottenham in the summer, before Evangelos Marinakis reported former Spurs chairman Daniel Levy for illegally tapping up his player.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST STUN SPURS! Sum up THAT performance in three words!!!
WHAT A WIN!!!
Gibbs-White was jeered by the Tottenham faithful ahead of the game and in the early exchanges, with the trademark celebration coming out when he scored Forest’s second goal in the second half.
After the game, Gibbs-White spoke about the team effort and made a special nod towards Marinakis, who fought tooth and nail to keep him in the summer.

Marinakis has done some incredible stuff at Forest since arriving in 2017, and although he doesn’t always get it right, keeping Gibbs-White was one of his better decisions.
After the game, Gibbs-White spoke about how happy he was for the team and also mentioned how buzzing he was for the people behind the scenes, including Marinakis.
Gibbs-White said live on Sky: “I can’t say it was written in the stars. I am just doing my best to help this team. I have shown that since the first day of coming here. It’s not been clean sailing. But we all stick together – the manager, the owner, the fans and the players.
“I am delighted to be on the scoresheet but more importantly, it’s the three points won. Taking three points here and having a bit of time off now to get relaxed and get ready for the fixtures that are to come. I can’t wait for a few days off now.”
Tottenham must be kicking themselves over Gibbs-White
Many Spurs fans claimed that signing Xavi Simons made up for missing out on Gibbs-White, but this season, the Dutchman hasn’t held a flame to the Forest number 10.
Simons has four goals and five assists for Spurs since checking in from RB Leipzig, with Gibbs-White now on nine Premier League goals for the campaign.
Who was your Star Man as Nottingham Forest thrash Tottenham
GET IN THERE!!!!
The attacker is Forest’s star man for this season and although he did endure a slow start to the campaign, he’s stood up to be counted in this relegation battle.
The work is far from done, but with Gibbs-White leading the team, it looks as though Forest have a fighting chance of remaining in the Premier League.
