A lot is being made of Sandro Tonali’s future up in Newcastle and Arsenal could find themselves the beneficiaries of the Toon’s decision making process.
Tonali’s agent has been more than vocal about his client moving on. Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on Tonali, while Man United are also firmly in the mix.
Now, according to The Daily Mail, Newcastle could potentially open the door for Tonali to make a move away early on in the summer.
If you could only pick one of William Saliba and Gabriel to stay at Arsenal forever, who are YOU picking and why?

Tonali’s agent is doing himself no favours with the Toon Army with his constant comments about the midfielder potentially moving on.
Indeed, it seems all but inevitable that Tonali does move on, leaving Newcastle losing a star player for the second summer running.
However, unlike Alex Isak’s protracted move to Liverpool which ended nastily, the Mail claims Newcastle are keen to avoid a similar situation with Tonali.

Instead, it’s suggested that Newcastle could instead be prepared to allow Tonali to move on earlier in the summer if things look like they’re heading that way. The thought process being that instead of dragging things out, it gives them time to land a replacement while also moving on a player who clearly doesn’t want to be around.
Newcastle are thought to be looking for around £100m to sell Tonali. That sort of figure could put off some clubs, albeit officials at Old Trafford are set to back the new manager again in the summer.
Quite whether Arsenal can muster up another £100m on a midfielder remains to be seen.
However, the success of Declan Rice’s signing has shown that sometimes it’s worth splashing the cash on the right player.
Tonali would be an excellent addition for the Gunners, even though some might argue he doesn’t actually get in the current midfield right now.
