Prosecutor Dylan Bub told the court Kelly carried out “highly dangerous” manoeuvres and had removed his licence plates, warning the stunt could have resulted in a collision with spectators.

Sentencing him, Recorder Donald Tait criticised Kelly’s actions, telling him he had behaved like a “complete idiot” and urging him to consider the potential consequences.
Kelly admitted dangerous driving and was given a two-year community order, 150 hours of unpaid work, and a one-year driving ban.
The court heard Kelly had since described his driving on the night as “stupid”.
