We’ve got the Europa League taking centre stage on Thursday night as Aston Villa look to book their place in the quarter-finals of Unai Emery’s favourite competition. Villa boast a 1-0 lead from last week’s first leg at Lille with the Premier League side returning to Villa Park for the second leg.

I thought this would happen where Aston Villa need to focus on either the Premier League or the Europa League – and I’ve always felt that the latter is a better opportunity to secure Champions League football, especially with Unai Emery’s record in the competition.
Villa are 1-0 up after the first leg in France and they’re back at Villa Park. The place will be rocking. I really fancy Villa to win and I can see them winning 3-0 on Thursday night.
Ollie Watkins netted the only goal in the first leg and he will be heavily involved once again. I like the look of him to have three or more shots as he’s averaging around that tally per game in the Europa League. I’m expecting Watkins to hit a bit of form from now until the end of the season.
I’m adding in a couple of bookings too as there’s a lot on the line on Thursday night. John McGinn and Matty Cash both to be shown a card is a good pick. McGinn is always good value to be booked while Cash is never afraid to get stuck in.
