ZAK Sturge’s red card against Blackburn Rovers has been rescinded and he will be available for Millwall’s trip to Ipswich Town this weekend.
Sturge, 21, was controversially sent off after bringing down Yuki Ohashi despite the Japanese international being some distance from goal and Jake Cooper covering. Alex Neil questioned the decision after the 2-1 defeat, stating, “I don’t think it’s a sending off”.
Millwall appealed the decision, and an independent regulatory commission ruled it to be a wrongful dismissal.
Sturge’s one-game suspension has now been lifted, and he will feature in Neil’s plans ahead of the top-six clash on Saturday.
Millwall could receive a further boost, with Neil telling NewsAtDen “one or two” of Ryan Leonard, Casper De Norre, Caleb Taylor and Alfie Doughty should be available.
