Everton are eyeing a move to sign Arsenal sensation Myles Lewis-Skelly on loan for the 2026/27 season after an exit was given the green light, according to Caught Offside.
The Toffees have had a mixed campaign so far in the Premier League and currently sit eighth in the table, six points behind Liverpool who occupy the final Champions League place, despite a lack of goals in the squad.
David Moyes is hopeful of securing a European place for next season, even if it’s not in the Champions League, and he wants to add more experience at the highest level in the process, which has seen the club target a temporary move for a top young starlet.

Lewis-Skelly, who has been described as ‘phenomenal’, has struggled for first-team minutes this season at the Emirates Stadium, falling behind Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie in the pecking order at left-back.
That has seen his chances of going to the World Cup with England scuppered, with Thomas Tuchel opting for different options who are playing more regularly instead, and that has sparked the player’s desire to move on and secure more regular game time next season.
Arsenal have already tied the 19-year-old down to a long-term contract, but they are now receptive to the idea of letting him leave on loan in order to help his development.
Everton and Arsenal have a good relationship after Moyes and Arteta worked together during the Spaniard’s playing career, and that could work to their advantage as they face stiff competition to seal his signature.
Being able to play at left-back or in central midfield, his versatility is likely to be very appealing to the Merseyside club too, and his experience at the highest level despite his age could be a huge upgrade for the squad.
Lewis-Skelly Would Be Major Upgrade for Everton

While Everton have got a number of quality options across the squad, they lack serious depth and that has shown on a number of occasions this season.
Bringing in someone like Lewis-Skelly would allow for Moyes to have options across the pitch who can provide quality on the ball, a good bite to win the ball back defensively, and also someone who has a ceiling that could see him improve greatly as the campaign progressed.
With Arsenal open to the move, Lewis-Skelly keen to play more, and Everton having a need to upgrade in midfield and at left-back, this could be the perfect deal for all parties.
