A man who assaulted his neighbour has been handed an indefinite restraining order.
Michael Shanley (37), of Rumbridge Street, Totton, committed the offence in the town in April 2024.
Shanley was sentenced at Southampton Crown Court
Appearing at Southampton Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
In addition to the restraining order, he was handed a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, and ordered to undertake a 120-day alcohol abstinence and monitoring programme.
He must also undergo rehabilitation activity and pay £300 compensation.
