The game was 20-year-old Loupalo-Bi’s eighth for Walsall and, after coming off the bench in his last action against Fleetwood Town two weeks earlier, he said making his full debut was special.
“I’m so happy. I’m happy that the gaffer trusts me,” he added.
“The fans were there for me, my team-mates were there for me, so I was just enjoying the moment.
“I showed the gaffer what I can do in training, I showed him my abilities, so it’s just good that he’s seeing that I can improve the team or help the team, so I’m just thankful.”
With eight games to go, Walsall are only two points outside the top seven and Loupalo-Bi said he will continue to learn and try his best to stay in the side.
“Training and playing with all these amazing players, it improves you as a player,” he said.
“I always ask questions. I’ve asked questions to Albert, to [Jamille] Matt, even Dan, even though he’s young as well, he’s been there so I always ask questions to people.
“I’m just trying to get as many minutes as I can get, to continue improving and hopefully start adding goals and assists.”
