From March 26, Camping New Forest are reopening 10 of it’s Forestry England campsites and its sister site, Long Meadow, with major site updates and a fresh outlook on educating visitors about the unique environment of the New Forest.

Throughout the winter period, Camping New Forest say investments were made to boost comfort and sustainability for guests at the different sites and, new guided walks and activity sessions will now be available.

This year, visitors can immerse themselves in the New Forest’s distinctive environment through guided day and evening walks that explore local wildlife and habitats, along with twilight bat-watching experiences.

Selected campsites will also host short, family-friendly wildlife rambles and drop-in activity sessions.

In the meantime, winter camping enthusiasts can continue to take advantage of the Setthorns Campsite, located near Brockenhurst, which stays open year-round.

After a year of being closed, Denny Wood Campsite near Lyndhurst will also reopen, providing what Camping New Forest describes as “perfect for a back to basics style camping” with a “fabulous feeling of remoteness”.

Other sites owned by Camping New Forest, have seen numerous enhancements, especially for families, such as upgraded showers, expanded play areas, and additional glamping options.

Additionally, eco-friendly methods such as improved recycling and water-saving strategies have been implemented which Camping New Forest’s say reflect their dedication to sustainability.
