More than 90 employees from University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust will take part in the inaugural UHSussex Football Tournament, kicking off on March 1 at Worthing Football Club.
The month-long competition aims to boost team spirit, promote physical fitness and raise funds for My Charity.
John Price, tournament organiser for UHSussex, said: “This tournament is a fantastic way for our staff to blow off steam and come together outside of the hospital environment.
“To have the support of Worthing FC and the Albion Legends makes this even more special.
“We hope the community turns out to cheer us on and help raise money for My Charity.”
The trust serves people across the region, including Sussex communities.
NHS staff from hospitals across Sussex will compete in teams representing different departments and sites.
The tournament will culminate on Saturday, March 21 with a finals day and a special charity match featuring Brighton and Hove Albion Legends versus the NHS All Stars.
All profits generated from ticket sales throughout the tournament, particularly for the final match day, will go directly to My Charity, which supports patient care, advanced equipment and staff wellbeing initiatives across Sussex hospitals.
Members of the public are being encouraged to attend and show support for their NHS heroes.
The trust serves a population across West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and parts of East Sussex.
My Charity funds projects and equipment that go beyond what standard NHS funding can provide.
Tickets for the finals on March 21 are now available and can be purchased through the Fanbase website.
More information about the tournament, ticketing and ways to support the hospitals can be found by visiting the My Charity UHS website at uhsussex.nhs.uk/my-charity.
The opening weekend of the tournament begins on March 1, with the finals and legends match set for March 21.
Both events will take place at Worthing Football Club, Woodside Road, Worthing, BN14 7HQ.
People can get involved by attending matches, purchasing tickets, or spreading the word.
