Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh admits his winner at Sunderland was the “strangest” goal of his career.

Minteh scored the only goal of the game on Saturday as Brighton won 1-0 on Wearside.

Afterwards, Minteh said: “I really wanted to make a cross, but I just saw the ball go in, so I’ll just take it for me.

“That’s probably the strangest goal I’ve scored since I started playing football.

“But that’s a good goal and we take the three points and prepare for the next matches.”
