If Raphina doesn’t rediscover the rhythm he had last season, it will be very difficult to win the UCL. He was generational last season, and we really missed a great opportunity to capitalize on that form and win our 6th UCL.

I really do not think he will be the same level, it was **generational** for a reason.

What about Ferran and Lewandowski? They don’t perform either

Yeah he’s been underwhelming since he came back from the injury. He had some good games here and there. But overall he’s been underwhelming. But at least he contributes in the pressing defending tracking back. Are we going to see the same Raphinha from last year in the upcoming games that will decide the season? Maybe yes maybe no. Time will tell.

We r not winning ucl this season.
We need good signings, a cb or 2 cb, a striker.
Otherwise forget about winning ucl for another 3-4 years. I’ll pray to have a similar season we had last year bcz there’s no way we will win ucl.

Winger performance highly dependent on fullback performance.
Last season Raphinha and Lamine looks very good because Balde and Kounde were also in form. Balde and Kounde are not in form and/or injured right now.

Yeah, we are not winning UCL this season. I believe in the team and its resilience but we just haven’t shown anything close to being a champion team, esp. in defending. It’s one thing if we are confident about our defence but still keep losing due to one off errors, etc. but it’s not that, we leak goals all the time. Same last season, but this season we are not so profilic in goal scoring, so the effect of a weak defence would clearly show with what we couldn’t win by the end of the season.
I don’t believe in blind optimism. We’d have done decent and good if we secure the league title with the defensive troubles we have. Anything beyond is us just vibing with the grit the team shows even in the face of losses.
